Sarah Charbonneau is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been providing counseling services for over 20 years in the Richmond area. She received her Masters in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2004 and was clinically licensed in 2007.

Sarah strives to provide an affirming, safe, and supportive space to help clients explore, heal, and honor their personal truth and identity and thrive as their authentic selves. Sarah operates from a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach and has over 20 years of clinical experience in the field of adult mental health, sexuality, gender and relationship issues. She believes in developing collaborative, compassionate, and trusting relationships with clients, incorporating individualized interventions from a variety of therapeutic frameworks based on each client’s unique needs and goals.

What you pay for a therapy session with Sarah will depend on your insurance. During your first appointment, our office staff will verify your benefits and inform you of your co-pay or co-insurance amounts.

All of our therapists accept Medicare & most major insurance plans, though coverage may vary by provider. Please note that we DO NOT accept any Medicaid plans.
