Josh Barefoot is a Licensed Professional Counseling (LPC) with over 12 years of experience working in the behavioral health field. Josh earned his Master Degree in Counseling from Regent University in 2013. Since then, Josh has worked in multiple settings in his career including; psychiatric hospitalization; alcohol, drug, and gambling rehabilitation; community mental health services; crisis stabilization; outpatient addiction clinics; and individual therapy. Josh has experience in case management, supervision, assessment, and in leading clinical teams.
Josh works with older adolescents and adults and specializes in addiction recovery, trauma-focused therapy, OCD, personality disorders, and avoidance. Josh works with clients to develop a goal-oriented plan of care to address specific client-driven objectives in treatment using the following interventions:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
- Solution-Focused Therapy
- Motivational Interviewing (MI)
