Jennifer McCauley is a seasoned Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Richmond, VA with over two decades of experience in the behavioral health field. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and has worked across diverse settings, including both public and private sectors as well as inpatient and outpatient care environments.
Jenn’s career spans leadership and clinical roles. For more than ten years, she co-owned a successful private practice before transitioning to serve as a Regional Director of Operations and later as a Regional Market Leader for one of the country’s largest mental health organizations. Driven by her passion for delivering high-quality, evidence-based care, Jenn founded Aspect Counseling and Psychiatry. This move allowed her to refocus on practice development, creating an environment where providers feel supported, energized, and challenged to deliver the best care possible.
A skilled cognitive behavioral consultant, Jenn has conducted numerous clinical trainings on topics such as:
- Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE)
- Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
With over 15 years as a DBT Team Leader, Jenn is dedicated to the Intensively Trained DBT team at Aspect Counseling and Psychiatry. Her commitment ensures that providers on the DBT Team at Aspect undergo the rigorous training necessary to become Foundationaly or Intensively trained DBT practitioners.
Jenn is passionate about personalized mental health care, working closely with providers to develop their clinical expertise and support their professional interests. Her efforts in program development reflect her dedication to building a center of excellence at Aspect Counseling and Psychiatry.
Clinically, Jenn specializes in evidence-based treatments, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE). Her areas of focus include supporting individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder, PTSD, OCD, phobias, and other anxiety disorders.
While Jenn is not currently providing clinical services, her influence and leadership continue to help shape the exceptional care delivered at Aspect Counseling and Psychiatry.
